Bulk Trash Pick Up Made Easy

We receive a lot of questions about picking up oversize items. We’re often asked if we accept mattresses, furniture and even appliances. Most of the time the answer is yes, but we went a step further and created a list of large items we can take care of so you can feel confident when it comes to bulk trash pick up near you.

Schedule a bulk trash pick up today!

Many of our customers are permitted one bulk item per month without being charged. Bulk pick ups are typically done on the first trash pick up of each month. Please note that bulk pick up requests should be submitted 48 hours prior to your scheduled pick up day. Keep in mind that city-wide contracts vary so if you aren't sure if your contract includes bulk pick up, just give us a call!

Just a few things to keep in mind before you put your bulk items out for collection:

  • Large items should be set out in 4' sections
  • Bulk items should weigh no more than 50 pounds
  • Items weighing more than 50 pounds must be broken down
  • Upholstered items must be wrapped and sealed in plastic
  • Items must be placed at the curb on your scheduled pick up day
  • Loose material must be properly bagged or bundled
  • Branches and lumber must be no longer than 4' sections and bundled 18" wide

*Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and water coolers are among the types of household appliances that contain Freon. Please be aware that any item containing Freon must have the Freon removed and tagged by a certified technician PRIOR to any scheduled pick up. These, and all other bulk items, must also be reported to Kimble prior to being picked up.

Kimble customers seeking to dispose of large, bulk items can submit pickup requests 48 hours prior to their scheduled trash pickup day.

Is It Free for Bulk Trash Pickup?

Many Kimble customers are permitted one bulk item per month, at no extra charge, with their plan. If your service level does not include bulk pickup, there will be an extra charge for this service.

If you want to know if bulk pickup is included in your current residential trash service plan or check on an item not on our acceptable item list (we cannot list them all), contact our customer service department at 800-201-0005.

Bulk Pickup Requirements

  1. You must schedule a bulk pickup 48 hours before your scheduled trash pickup day
  2. Bulk items must be placed on the curb on your scheduled trash pickup day
  3. Large items must be cut into 4’ sections
  4. Items should weigh no more than 50 pounds
  5. Items more than 50 pounds should be broken down
  6. Upholstered items need to be wrapped and sealed in plastic
  7. Appliances with Freon must have the Freon removed and tagged by a certified technician prior to scheduled pickup
